Artist's Journey: Working in a Series

Working in a series is all about connections. A series may be many things, a consistent theme, a design element, a technique, exercise, or any combination of those ideas. This class will explore the connections that make up a series. Using one work, complete or in progress, and fabrics brought from home, each student will design a series of two or three small works.
The first day will be spent discussing connections that make a series, reviewing good design principles and developing an idea for the direction of several new works. The second and third day will be working on your individual series.
Several pre-conference lessons will be provided.
